As a #progressivereenacting group, we are always committing to improving. When we began the project, we were not sure that the fleur-de-lys on our pokalems were correct, but we needed to make a decision and so produced ours based on what we had. We have since confirmed that we were wrong. We therefore undertook to replace them with this design, based on one found on a coat of the Courten Regiment, courtesy of Dr Matthew Keagle.

Transparency is key in this hobby. Understanding where we have made errors, and being willing to correct them, is just one way we can be better interpreters – and better educate about the past.
